According to usatoday.com (5-29-2009) : The average (tax paying) household has a 12% increase in federal debt this year due to an explosion of federal borrowing during the recession.

The government took on (spent) 6.8 TRILLION dollars in NEW obligations in 2008, pushing the total owed by the U.S. government to a record 63.8 TRILLION dollars.

Social Security will have an increase of 1 to 2 MILLION recipients per year through 2032. The average benefit in 2008 : $12,089

Medicare will have an increase of more than 1 MILLION recipients per year starting in 2011 when the baby boomers hit 65. The average benefit in 2008 : $11,018

Pension and health care programs for military and civil servants has an increase in unfunded obligation of 300 BILLION per year since 2003. The total to date : 5.3 TRILLION DOLLARS

Boy, let a white male nominee say something like that!

Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor (the first female Hispanic nominee) said in 2001 : "A female Hispanic judge would often reach a better decision then a white male judge".

On Friday (5-29-2009) President Obama flatly told NBC news : "I am sure she would have restated that".

Sen Richard Shelby of Alabama said Friday (5-29-2009) "The government should have allowed the marketplace to decide General Motor's fate and that huge federal stake in the company puts Washington on the road to socialism".

Well, no shit.

This begs another question. With the current agreement with GM's bondholders, the government would maintain about 75% ownership in General Motors, is it now Un-American to buy American?

Markets Unstable? I can't imagine why?

For the past couple of months and really since the new CAFE standards for the automobile industry have been announced, the gas prices around here have been jumping up and down like a 1st grader on a three day sugar binge. Gas will jump up in nickles and dimes and then dribble down in pennies. Over the last week I have witnessed no less than THREE price changes in one day and not just increases. Example : Early morning prices for regular unleaded - $2.09/gal Mid day prices - $2.15/gal Evening prices - $2.08/gal Next morning $2.15/gal Mid day - $2.25/gal Evening prices - $2.14/gal. I have never seen anything like it. I hope you all have your BASH HATS. You are going to need them before we get though this.

That is the confidence our government inspires in our already struggling economy! All we need now is for the continued push to socialize 1/3 of the U.S. economy with a complete overhaul of the health care system.

The problem is COMPETENCE!

Competence : The quality of being competent; adequacy; possession of required skill, knowledge, qualification, or capacity.

The problem with this is that the current Presidential administration possesses none nor does it believe that the people of the United States of America possess any as well.

They do not believe that you are capable of choosing the right car to drive, the right food to eat, or the right doctor to see. We are headed down a dark path of compliance or elimination. You will comply or we will eliminate all other choices and you will comply.

You will drive a "golf cart". Your car will get 50 MPG, but it will not be safe to drive on any than other that a sidewalk. You will be a "vegan". If you are a female you will not be allowed to weigh more than 110 LBS at maturity and males will only be allowed to weigh 140 LBS at maturity no matter what your frame size. You will not be allowed see the doctor except for when and were the government tells you that you can.

The best part is that it will all be "FREE"..., BUT WE WILL NOT BE!

Mr. President why do you hate America? You run a campaign on change , but the only change I see is that you want to change America from a free Represenative Republic to a socialist/communist society that limits freedom and punishes achievement. You also ran your campaign on hope, but again I see no policies, beliefs, or leadership that inspires hope in anyone except for the takers and users of which you invoke wealth envy and hope that you will take away from the "RICH" and give to the "POOR". All that really means to me is that if you are a producer/earner of "WEALTH" then you are about to be penialized for your hard work and achievements. You put a Federal buget and spending plan together that will enslave my grand childern with more that 800 BILLION in yearly interest on the money you have planned to spend in you first and hopefully last term as President of the United States of America. You also make huge changes in the way things are run in Washington be putting most of the Clinton adminstration right back into cabnet positions. You then start gearing up talks with all of the enimies of the US, but refuse to sit down and talk to people in your own country that are not in the same political party and then tell everyone that you are trying to unit and cross pary lines to get "THINGS" done for all the "PEOPLE". You go on a trip around the world appologizing for the US of A and shake hands, bow down, and smile at every communist/socialist leader you can find and listen to them tell you how arrogant that Americans are and you just smile and nod in agreement. You accepted advise from as well as a gYou say that you want "AFFORDABLE" health care for everyone in America. Sir we already have the finest health care in the world for the dollars spent and don't tell me people are denied access to medical treatments because anyone can go to any E.R. at any hospital in America and will be treated for what ever his or her illness, regaurdless of the ability to pay. No, our health care system is not perfect but it is a hell of a lot better than the V.A. or Indian hospitals that the government is in charge of running currently!

I guess you are a lot like another Democrat President we had in the late seventies, in that you to have not met a communist dictator you didn't like. Sir, we already have the finest health care system in the world for the dollars spent and don't tell me people are denied access to medical treatments because anyone can go to any E.R. at any hospital in America and will be treated for what ever his or her illness, regardless of the ability to pay. That is Federal law! No, our health care system is not perfect but it is a hell of a lot better than the V.A. or Indian hospitals that the government is in charge of running currently! You want the Catholic Health Care Initiative to be abolished. This initiative allows Catholic or other Christian based health care providers to be able to have State and Federal funding assistance and not be mandatory for the physicians to perform abortions in those hospitals. I have no problem with you pulling Federal funds away from these hospital, but these hospitals are for the most part serving the very poor and homeless population. So, if you force these hospitals to stop receiving State and Federal monies then you are in fact refusing people health care, of which you seem so set on providing to everyone. You say you are going to give tax breaks to 95% of the people in the US. You can't even be honest about the so called wage increase benefit you instituted giving people $16.00 of their own money per check and then not telling anyone that you are not changing the withholding tax rates and that they will still be responsible for the taxes on said monies. Your so called "TAX ON THE RICH" is really a tax on small business that make most of the jobs in our economy. So you are in effect putting people out of work, causing people to not have confidence in US economic stability therefore causing most people to pull out of the stock market when they hit break even or close to it. Then you tell GM and Chrysler that if they want Federal funds, you will be calling the shots and while they seem to be complying you still don't like what the CEO of GM is telling you so if you are going to loan them any more money he has to go! I have never heard of such arrogance before and hope I never will, but I am afraid that you are only just getting started with these people. For the most part it is their fault for "getting in bed" with you and your cronies, but that does not give you the right to nationalize these companies. If you have your way I am quite sure that we the "LITTLE" people will all be driving Smart cars and all of you in the "RULING CLASS" will be driving and flying what ever it is you want. Like you taking Air Farce one, a Boeing 747, to Colorado to speak at an "EARTH DAY" event. What a FARCE! You then do something that I am still trying to understand how someone who has achieved some much in this great land of ours, stoop so low as to tell the world including our enemies the techniques that we use to interrogate prisoners and enemy combatants to obtain information on terrorist activities. Information that saved L.A. ,and the millions of people that live there, from an terrorist attack much like 9-11. Then to say that you are investigating the officers that ordered and carried out these interrogations is just disgusting! All of this in under 100 days. You must be proud. You have taken the greatest country in the world and turned it into a "PAPER TIGER" through the eyes of the rest of the world. Will we survive it Mr President? Is that your plan? Why do you want America to fail? Why do you want individual achievement to replaced by national apathy? Mr President I ask again, why do you hate America?

We have been put on notice!!!!!!

The Department of Homeland Security released a report on April 7th that has put all conservatives on notice that we are being watched and that our way of thinking will not be tolerated! The report: Rightwing Extremism : Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment states many things about "conservatives" that are less than flattering. The report seems to be an attempt to lump all "conservatives" into one large white supremacist/violent anti government ball of hatred. Quote : "The possible passage of new restrictions on firearms and the return of military veterans facing significant challenges reintegrating into their communities could lead to the potential emergence of terrorist groups or lone wolf extremist capable of caring out violent attacks." So...gun owners and military veterans are potential terrorist, but people that hi-jack U.S. freighters in international waters at gun point are pirates/misguided/underprivileged/merchant marine organizers? HUH? Another quote : "Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups. movements and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented and those that are primarily antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion and immigration." Wow...So...If you are against abortion (Christians), Immigration (Law abiding citizen), or are in favor of state-right to govern themselves, (Republicans and Libertarians) you are now part of a group of people that the government of the United States of America thinks could be part of a terrorist network. Anyone one read 1984? You will comply or else! Anyone remember Stalin and the "Iron Curtain"?

One last thought : I was under the impression that the Obama Administration was supposed to stop all of the polarization of the country and unify everyone under the banner of "HOPE and CHANGE".
